From Columbus to the World
Michael Harden is a technology executive, advisor, and thought leader who helps organizations bridge the gap between business vision and technical execution. As a Fractional CTO, he partners with startups, enterprises, and government organizations to lead transformation, streamline systems, and deliver measurable results.
What sets Michael apart is his ability to combine technical depth with strategic clarity. Over two decades in technology leadership roles have given him the perspective to not only architect solutions – but also to build teams, cultures, and frameworks that sustain success long after implementation.
A Career Built on Leadership and Innovation
Michael began his career in the enterprise software space, serving as a Regional Practice Manager at Oracle before moving into national and international leadership roles. He later joined CSC, one of the largest global technology firms, where he managed large-scale implementations and led multi-disciplinary teams.
After years of helping global organizations scale through technology, he founded Disney Group International Exchange (DGIX) – a consulting and development firm known for its work in Oracle-based solutions, IT product strategy, and government contracting. Under his leadership, DGIX earned multiple international awards, including recognition in Dubai for excellence in enterprise technology and system innovation.
Today, Michael applies that same enterprise-level expertise to his work as a Fractional CTO – providing executive-level guidance to businesses that need strategic direction, not just technical execution.
Recognized Thought Leadership
Michael’s insights have been featured in Forbes Technology Council, where he writes about the intersection of leadership, innovation, and emerging technology. His work has also been highlighted in Conglomerate Magazine, which profiled his journey from Columbus to international recognition as a “thought architect” – a leader who shapes how organizations think about technology and growth.
He’s known for his clear communication style, ability to align technical priorities with business goals, and talent for simplifying complex problems so that teams can act decisively.
Philosophy & Approach
Michael believes that great technology leadership is more than managing systems – it’s about managing vision, people, and pace. His Fractional CTO engagements are grounded in three principles:
- Clarity before code. Every project starts with defining clear objectives, outcomes, and alignment with business strategy.
- People over process. The best systems fail without strong teams. Michael focuses on culture, accountability, and collaboration.
- Results that last. Technology should move the business forward, not just complete a checklist. His approach ensures every engagement creates lasting operational value.
Whether he’s advising executives, mentoring technical teams, or leading high-stakes initiatives, Michael brings focus, structure, and integrity to every engagement.
Beyond the Role
When he’s not advising companies, Michael continues contributing to industry discussions, mentoring future leaders, and exploring global partnerships that drive innovation. His leadership philosophy – lead with thought, act with purpose – guides both his professional work and personal mission to create meaningful, lasting impact through technology.
